Hi all! It’s Friday. Hence, here is your weekly dose of hmx-weekly, a list of what I’m enjoying, pondering, or working on. Enjoy.
PRODUCTIVITY GETS PERSONAL
The better you get, the better you’d better get!
– David Allen
Recent events led me to review the book Getting Things Done. This is a system, which allows stress-free productivity. I advice my patients to do something similar as described in the book. Collect everything, that has your attention on paper or elsewhere outside your head, which in turn allows your headspace to work on more important things, than remembering. Hence you can trust it will always be there, even if you yourself forget. But see yourself. This is a presentation by David Allen introducing GTD, which includes a meltdown/ emergency plan for those who need instant clarity and situational awareness.
Unroll.me allows you to get rid of stupid newsletter (haha) with one click. Further it allows you to batch those you DO WANT into one email. I use it to clean up. Works very well. Quick and easy. Give it a try.
SIMON SINEK ON LEADERSHIP
[People] will respond in kind.
– Simon Sinek
Simon Sinek on How to Get People to Follow You – Inside Quest. Loving your job is a god-given right, not a privilege. The Key? Leadership. That is relationship-building, and taking care of the people, who in turn take care of the results. His words, not mine.
GET INTO THE ZONE
Cognition Enhancer For Clearer and Faster Thinking. I’m still experimenting with some kind of alpha wave music. Though you’d have to get used to it, and the music is strange often, I like the kind of focus, that goes along with it. Alternatively check out brain.fm.
This is not for everybody. Read important recommendations below the video.
How to Meditate: An Animated Guide on BrainPickings.org. Beautiful video included. It is this simple.
That’s all. If you liked this please forward this email to a friend or two, and suggest they sign up.
Have a great week!
