Hi all! It’s Friday. Hence, here is your weekly dose of hmx-weekly, a list of what I’m enjoying, pondering, or working on. Enjoy.
Where focus goes, energy flows. A lot of of suffering is self-made. We often, without noticing, reinforce negative feelings. Meditation can help with getting some distance and detachment. Thoughts – though maybe negative – are only that. Thoughts. There is no consequence unless we judge. And that often is the crux. Meditation can help getting aware of that. I took up headspace.com again after some experimentation with other forms, and apps, etc.. Try yourself.
ARTICLES I ENJOYED

Want To Save Your Relationship? This Strategy Might Be Just What You Need (Refers to “appreciative inquiry”, a good set of questions to ask when trying to change xyz. Maybe more on this on another occasion.)
EMPATHY IS THE HARD PART
The rest is mechanics. We’re not wired to walk in someone else’s shoes, it’s not our first instinct. Showing up with empathy is difficult, hard to outsource and will wear you out. But it’s precisely what we need from you.
THE POWER OF EMPATHY
The power of empathy by Helen Riess. “If we accecpt diminished substitutes, we become diminished substitutes.”
