Welcome to my about page. This is a personal blog I’ll be to using as a log of my research on whatever might fall under the motto of “Deconstructing Human Performance and Well-Being.” Main topics will be health, psychology and leadership. Why? I think these topics include important tools to make us thrive in our work and personal lives…
Our health is probably our most important asset. The german philosopher Hans-Georg Gadamer defines health like this, and I have to paraphrase here: Health is a state of well-being, indicated by openness to new things, readiness to start new business, without considering demands made on us.
Such a state of well-being is fragile. It is a matter of balancing demands with resources we have, or have to develop.
80% of success is psychology, right? I believe understanding oneself, and understanding the next person is key to achievement and fulfillment.
If we want to get things done, at one point we need help. That’s where leadership is necessary, and shaping conditions, where we can cooperate in a sustainable manner, is a challenge. Moreover anybody who wants to lead others, has to be effective in leading oneself first. Self-leadership is becoming more important, since workplaces will demand more and more autonomy.
All the best
